Hinoki Cypress Gracilis (sometimes called Slender Hinoki False Cypress) is an open-branched, upright pyramidal form with gracefully arching branches. Small, deep green needles with reddish-tinged new growth have a soft, fern-like appearance and develop bronze coloring in winter. Gracilis Cypress makes an excellent small, slender evergreen for screening, hedges.
